As you can see, it is once again Wednesday, and I am once again left with an excellent puzzle and nothing much to say about it. Thus, I am moved to experiment with the bare bones format above. I will try this for a few weeks and see if it gleans approval or rotten tomatos, and make adjustments from there.
It’s Wednesday again, which means it’s time for a fresh new crossword puzzle. This week’s entry should fit that description nicely. Our panel of reviewers tell us that this one weighs in at Tuesday/Wednesday on the NYT difficulty scale and that at least one of the clues should make you groan or wish to pummel the author (who will therefore stay safely out of reach).

If it’s Wednesday, it must be time for another Beekeeper crossword. And so it is. In fact, this is puzzle #52, which means we’ve been keeping a steady pace, running one crossword a week, for an entire year now. Happy anniversary! It’s been no walk in the park, and there’s been a delay or two, but it’s been a good time, and we hope to keep catering to your cruciverbalistic cravings for some time to come.
This puzzle is interesting for another reason. If you’re like many of us, you get tired of seeing the same old boring three letter words time after time. So have we, and that’s why we banished all of the three letter words from the puzzle entirely. You still get to enjoy some of the same old boring four letter words — no, not those — but that’s a task for another day, and another puzzle.
